Aerospace
Machined brackets, housings, fixtures and prototype components for aerospace applications.

Overview
Brackets, housings and fixtures
Brackets, housings and fixtures need to fit the components around them. Brackets, housings, fixtures and prototype components can each require a different manufacturing route. The drawing and application determine which features need close control.
Material grades and inspection records
Specify the grade, condition and any material documentation required. The material selection guide explains how grade, process and working environment fit together. Keep drawing revisions and inspection requirements attached to the part number. When a customer or program requires an approved process or certification, identify that requirement during the enquiry so it can be reviewed before accepting the work.
Machining and surface finishes
Machining access, wall sections and workholding affect the achievable geometry. Surface treatment can affect fit and conductivity, so mark masked areas and acceptance requirements. Confirm the production and inspection plan before release.
