Press selection depends on the part, material, projected area and mold design. Confirm the required combination during quotation.
Injection molding
From mold review and sample approval to batch production, free storage and deliveries arranged around your needs.

Approve samples before production
At Aria, mold development and repeat supply are part of the same project. We review the part and mold plan before tooling, then send samples for your evaluation before bulk production. You can check fit, appearance and intended use while there is still a clear approval step before the production run. See our sample approval arrangements.
For injection molding batch orders, you can make a larger batch and store the finished parts free during the product lifecycle, arranging shipments as you need them. This separates the production batch from your delivery schedule. Freight and release arrangements are agreed for the order.
Capabilities
Confirm material, geometry and mold requirements during quotation.
Depends on part complexity and tool requirements.
Single-material injection molding
Molten resin fills the cavity, cools and is ejected as a shaped component. Wall transitions, gate position and shrinkage are central to a repeatable part design.
Insert molding
Bring Aria the thread, contact or connection requirement—not just a plastic shape to mold.
Insert selection
Metal inserts can provide durable threads, electrical contacts or reinforcement. Define the insert material, exposed surfaces and retention features alongside the surrounding plastic geometry.
Insert location and retention
The tool supports the insert while resin flows around it. Accurate location, anti-rotation geometry and adequate plastic coverage help the finished part meet its assembly requirements.
Overmolding
Review the base component, molded layer and intended grip, cushioning or sealing function with Aria.
Multi-shot / two-shot (2K) molding
Two or more injection stages combine materials or colors in one component. Two-shot (2K) molding is a two-stage route. Material bonding, tool design and handling must be reviewed together.
Elastomer over plastic
A compatible elastomer can add a soft contact surface to a rigid plastic substrate. Select the grade for the substrate and review exposed edges where peeling could begin.
Plastic over plastic
Two plastics can combine color, feel or function within one component. Compatibility and molding temperature must suit the substrate; geometry may also provide mechanical retention.
Elastomer over metal
An elastomer layer can provide grip or cushioning around a metal component. Surface preparation and retention geometry require review for the selected metal and elastomer.
Plastic over metal
A rigid plastic can be molded around metal features to combine insulation, shape or assembly functions. Define the exposed metal areas and the method of retaining the plastic.
Secondary operations
Heat staking
Reshape a thermoplastic boss with heat to retain another component. Define the joint and assembly loads.
Hot stamping
Transfer a decorative foil onto the part with heat and pressure. Specify artwork, foil and surface requirements.
Inserts
Add fastening or locating inserts to the molded part. Specify the insert, position and installation method.
Laser engraving
Create permanent text or graphics using a laser. Mark contrast and depth depend on the resin and additives.
Pad Printing
Transfer ink from a flexible pad onto a molded surface for logos, labels or markings. Specify artwork and the marking location.
Painting
Apply a coating to the molded part for color or appearance. Specify the coating, cosmetic surfaces and masking requirements.
Post-mold machining
Machine selected molded features after molding. Identify the features, datums and final tolerances.
Silk screening
Print graphics through a screen onto suitable part surfaces. Provide artwork, colors and registration requirements.
UV coating
Apply a UV-cured coating for the specified surface appearance or protection. Confirm resin compatibility and cosmetic requirements.
Ultrasonic welding
Join compatible thermoplastic components using high-frequency vibration. Joint geometry and resin compatibility determine the weld design.

Planning your injection molding order
- Resin options
More than 60 plastics, including ABS, PA, PC, PE, POM, PP, PMMA, PEEK and HDPE; resin grade and application requirements govern selection.
- Prototype and production quantities
Prototypes: 1–500 parts; production: 500–1,000,000+ parts. No minimum order quantity; tooling and setup are quoted separately.
Manufacturing process
Review the part and quotation
Send the model, drawing, resin, quantity and inspection requirements. Confirm the quotation and project schedule with the engineering team.
Approve DFM and the mold plan
Review manufacturability, cavity design and the proposed mold. Resolve design questions and approve the plan before tooling starts.
Build the mold and make T1 samples
Manufacture and assemble the mold, then run the first trial parts. Check the trial results before submitting parts for your evaluation.
Test and approve the samples
Test the sample parts for fit, appearance and the intended use. Approve the parts, or agree drawing and tooling changes, before bulk production.
Mold the production batch
Produce the approved parts and carry out the agreed finishing, printing, insert installation or assembly operations.
Inspect and arrange delivery
Check the specified features and requested documentation, protect the parts in suitable packaging, then ship the batch or arrange scheduled releases.
Quality and inspection
Molded-part inspection
Identify the dimensions, cosmetic faces and assembly features that determine acceptance. Request the required report and sample quantity with the drawing so inspection is included in the project review.
Two sets of samples are sent for your testing, and bulk production starts after your approval. This is standard for injection molding and applies to CNC orders of more than 100 units of an individual part.
Batch production, delivered as needed
Free storage for injection molding batches
Manufacture a larger batch of injection molded parts, then receive shipments as you need them. Aria stores those parts free during the product lifecycle. This lets you plan production around batch quantities while arranging deliveries around your demand.
Discuss the batch quantity, expected product lifecycle and release schedule when placing the order. Confirm packaging, destination and freight charges for each shipment in the delivery arrangement. Free storage does not include free shipping.
This service covers finished injection molded parts. Mold storage, maintenance and any mold transfer are separate arrangements.
Design considerations
Molded surface appearance
Polishing and texturing the mold can produce gloss or texture on the part. Resin choice and release geometry affect the result; identify visible faces before the tool is finished.
Packing and delivery requirements
Include the destination and any protection needed for cosmetic surfaces, threads or delicate features. Separate the required arrival date from the production completion date when planning the order.
Resin selection
Choose a resin grade for stiffness, impact, temperature and chemical exposure. Fillers, colorants and shrinkage influence both part behavior and mold design.
Review tooling, molded-part demand and any assembly or finishing steps together.
